Take me out tonight, Where there's music and there's people

I've always really liked Arts and Crafts style houses and the wallpaper here feels a little like that. Also I think the bright colors are helping distract me from the fact that it is a blizzard outside and I can't leave my house. I think I am ready for spring already. Spent the whole day baking and preparing for the holidays.

Thanks to everyone for all the comments. I believe the dress on my header is Jill Stuart but I haven't been able to find the runway picture. I found it on a random website awhile ago and I have been kinda obsessed with it ever since. My boyfriend is a graphic designer so he basically made my header after I told him what kinda of colors and feel I wanted. He did a great job. Thanks for all the love!

'Cause I'm a Freak Bitch Baby

I can't believe she wore the McQueen shoes.. AND that she could walk in them. The whole video is just breathtaking. I love all her make up concepts and this kind of claw theme in the choreography and wardrobe. The song is pretty good but the video explains why more and more people are starting to drink the Gaga kool aid.

I want your Horror

I will forever love old Hollywood glamour. These are so effortless and beautiful at the same time. The make up and hair are perfectly understated.

Halloween Heaven

Halloween is my favorite holiday.. hands down. I love the ability to wear completely ridiculous makeup and dress up as anything you want to for about 3 days. Last year it was leopard spots on my face, this year it's gothic rag doll (think Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas). I really want to take advantage of all the beautiful dark shades of lipstick that are available.

I had to make a gothic/Halloween-esque outfit. enjoy

Tie Me UP Untie Me

Jackets are definitely a big weakness of mine. I especially love the first one. Such a refreshing take on the biker jacket. A little pricey but may be worth it if it can be used as a winter jacket. I'm really feeling the shearling and paisley trend that is starting to emerge as well. Anyone else love the last models hair? Wang is always giving us a reason to grow it out.

First two are topshop, then asos, and alex wang

These lights will inspire you

I sort of love when trends aren't so in your face all the time. This Navajo/Pendelton trend has been present but subtle. I also really love all of the tailored pieces that are making their way down to the lower priced stores like Zara and Urban. It's a pretty accessible way to look chic and expensive without spending a lot. Also, with the weather getting pretty chilly around here I've been throwing on multiple layers and I'm kinda into the simplicity of the denim shirt and black jacket. And who else is loving the bleached hair?

Hang You From The Heavens...

Although I think that that this Fashion Week was a good separation from the 80's trend that I am currently growing tired of, there wasn't anything I was completely melting over.

Until These.

Completely unwearable but reminds me of a Tim Burton-esque dream world.

How amazing is this little beaded shift? This image is making want to go vintage shopping tomorrow because $120+ is a little steep for something I could find for $20 with a little digging. Things I need in my life: always more brogues and trousers, tailored shirts and blazers, chunky sweaters circa Rodarte F/W 2008.

Dress: Available on Ebay in the California Vintage Connect store

Can't get no satisfaction

Why do I have a strong craving for white when it's almost October?

First come First

(Alexander Wang, LAMB, Cynthia Rowley, Band of Outsiders)

Just some of my favorites from the shows this weekend. I'm very jealous of the lucky people who are at Bryant Park. I have been moving all weekend so a longer post will be needed tomorrow. Loving the knee socks at Wang, and the tailoring at Band of Outsiders and Rowley. Why does fashion week always make me want to wear shorts and dresses in October and jackets and boots in March and April?

OMFG

So... usually on my day off I spend at least an hour perusing the internet, checking blogs, looking at things I can't afford.. yata yata
Well I saw these amazing Brian Atwood Dita boots on ebay for $300 awhile ago and just didn't pull the trigger and have been kicking myself ever since
Then the shoe gods smiled upon me and I found these about 10 minutes ago in TheOut-Net.com for $216!! The only size left was mine so I just couldn't pass it up. I immediately bought them and when I check back right after it said the shoes were sold out. This was meant to be. I will sleep in them.

Phamous is killing me with these sharp shoulder pieces on sale at pixie market. Too bad they are all sold out :(

BTW the infamous Ashish wedges went on sale at TopShop today. The leopard ones are already gone. TopShop and I are having a little falling out. They lost a very important package and don't really seem to give a what. My heart is broken.

"So, this flannel thing. Is that a nod to the crispy Seattle weather, or are you just trying to stay warm in front of the refrigerator?"

As soon as I saw this jacket on Topshop.com I immediately had flashbacks of Cher walking to school commenting on the questionable choices of teenage male clothing of the 90's.

"So okay, I don't want to be a traitor to my generation and all but I don't get how guys dress today. I mean, come on, it looks like they just fell out of bed and put on some baggy pants and take their greasy hair - ew - and cover it up with a backwards cap and like, we're expected to swoon? I don't think so. "

Just pair this with a matching skirt and a white faux fur backpack and you will be good to go - now if only the jacket came with Cher's virtual closet I would be sold

Pure Amazingness

These amazing necklaces are Assad Mounser. I usually pile on the necklaces before I leave the house and these would make that process a lot faster. I plan on having both in my possession soon.

Cold Shoulder

This little lady is completely killing it in this Zara blazer. Instantly making me regret tearing out the shoulder pads in all my thift purchases. Zara should probably change their ad picture to the latter.

Theyyy're Baack

A little predictable to have my first post about the most blogged about boots but I thought that people would like to know that these bad boys are available in stores again. I am still kicking myself for not clicking 'buy' when they were on clearance at Victoria Secret but at least I didn't pay the terribly inflated price that they were going for on Ebay. Got mine at Footnotes. Go to This website to see a list of retailers carrying them.
